SUNSET IN THE BAHAMAS

LAZY VACATION DAY

I’m here on Grand Bahama Island on an adult only trip with my wife. We had the opportunity to get away without the kids and took it! The water is warm and calm, most likely from the recent hurricane that passed by. We’ve been enjoying lazy days without the need to keep an eye on the time.

TODAY’S PHOTO – SUNSET IN THE BAHAMAS

The last couple of sunset here have been amazing. Great colors and textures in the sky. I love how this photo captured the rays of light above the trees.

Enjoy!

BUSY WEEKEND

How was your Labor Day Weekend? Mine was pretty busy. Saturday my wife and I took our kids to up in the mountains to do a nice hike. We went up to Brainard Lake just west of Boulder, Colorado and did a fantastic 6 mile hike. My 2 kids did great. My youngest, 5 in 3 weeks, only was carried for about 1/4mile. Pretty fantastic if you ask me. I think we’re all still a little beat from that hike but the views were worth the aching bodies.

TODAY’S PHOTO – CAERPHILLY UNDER SIEGE

At the end of July this year my family and eye traveled to the UK to visit family. We stayed in Caerphilly which is just north of the bigger town of Cardiff in Wales. The particular weekend we were there was the annual ‘Big Cheese’ festival. Lots of booths for various arts and crafts, food, rides and entertainment. On the opening night, which was a Friday, they do a big fire works display shot off from the castle. We happened to have front row prime grass right across from the lake outside the castle walls. Was a fantastic sight.

I hope you enjoy today’s post. If you like what you see or read hear the greatest compliment you could give me is to share this with others. I appreciate all the feedback, comments and ‘likes’ I get and read and respond to every one of them.

REPOSTING FROM A G+ POST

This is a post I made back in July on G+. I figured I’d just use the same text for this post

Well, I just completed day 3 here in Ireland. I’m out here for work this week and it started off great yesterday but today didn’t go as planned. I was hoping for an easy going day but ended up having many difficulties. I’m hoping to turn that around tomorrow.

TODAY’S PHOTO – THEĀ ROAD TO THE DROP OFF

The plus to my not so great day was leaving my customer site to witness sunshine! Now, being that it’s mid July and I’m so far north the sunlight lasts a lot longer here. I left my customer with the sun still high up in the sky. I quickly picked up something to eat while out and about and decided to head out to the coast which I love here. I will say though I did go on a not so direct path. I chose not to travel on main roads and cruise along roads not much wider than the tiny care I’ve rented.

This shot was taken of a private road that ran off of the road I was driving on. At the end of this road, or I assume due to being private, are the Cliff of Moher. Those are Ireland’s famous cliffs that plunge about 700ft down to the Atlantic.I’ve been there a couple of times and I can say personally that they are pretty magnificent.

I hope you enjoy today’s post.

Cheers

MY 4TH IRELAND TRIP

Back in July I traveled to Ireland for my 4th time for work. During the week it’s pretty much work, but when I can find some off time or get there on a Sunday, as I did on that trip, I’m able to travel around and check out the countryside. I do have to say that this is one of my favorite places that I’ve ever been to.

TODAY’S PHOTO – THE ABBEY’S RED DOOR

I took this shot at the Trinitarian Abbey. It was founded in 1230. It’s amazing how old some of the structures in this country are. There are many that are older and unfortunately in ruins but great non the less. It’s great to explore some of the ruins and image on life was like back in those times. I can’t seem to get enough of castles and other types of ruins. Can you?

Enjoy!

THINKING OF OUR CRUISE

Last summer we had taken a cruise to Alaska. We started our journey in Seattle on a really beautiful day. Was not what I had thought being my first time to Seattle. I expected rainy and grey and there wan’t one cloud in the sky.

TODAY’S PHOTO – THE DEDICATED MARTINI BAR

This shot was taken just shortly after boarding the Rotterdam cruise ship in August of 2010. We boarded in Seattle and headed up to Alaska for 7 days. It was a great trip with unbelievable views that you can only get from the water.

I’m not too sure what to say about this shot other than I was eager to cruise, no pun intended, around the ship before the masses engulfed the ship and cluttered every shot taken. This was a martini bar that was all set up and not a soul had touched it just yet. I was able to take my time and compose the shot without feeling rushed.

I sure hope you all are enjoying the photos I’ve posted so far.

Well, if you like what you see please comment and share with everyone. I’d love for my photos to be enjoyed by everyone.

Enjoy!
